The best way to enjoy the Twente countryside is by bike. Twente boasts a stunning and varied natural landscape featuring country estates, meadows, hills, heathland, hedgerows, woods and a rich ‘coulisse’ landscape.
The combination of city, border region and countryside makes Twente unique. You can create endless routes yourself using the junction points.
As a region in the Netherlands, Twente has a junction network comprising over 1,500 kilometres of cycle routes. You can bring your own bike or hire one from us. We also hire out e-bikes. We have a separate bike storage area.
Cycling route maps are available at reception or, of course, from the Twente tourist information offices. There are various cycling routes, both short and long. Or put together your own route using the junction-based route system.
