Twickel Castle, Delden
Twickel Castle is situated near the small town of Delden in Twente, set amidst a stunning 4,000-hectare estate. Highly recommended if you fancy a walk or a cycle!
Twickel is a nationally listed historic country estate comprising 81 buildings, situated near Delden. The varied landscape consists of gently rolling fields and meadows, woods and ancient oaks, heathland and ponds. Streams and hedgerows wind their way through the landscape.
The estate is home to around 150 farmhouses and other buildings, such as two water mills, the water tower and the sawmill.

Warmelo Estate, Diepenheim (Hof van Twente)
Medieval castle in Diepenheim with gardens open to the public.
Het Warmelo dates from 1339. In 1952, the house was purchased by Prince Bernhard. His mother, Princess Armgard, lived there until her death in 1971. In 1976, the estate was sold to the Avenarius family, who continue to manage the estate and live in the house. The castle is surrounded by a park covering a total area of 7 hectares. A signposted walking trail takes you on a journey through four centuries of garden architecture, featuring, amongst other things, a Rococo pond, sculptures, a rose garden and a bird garden.

Singraven, Denekamp
The Singraven Estate is beautifully situated along the River Dinkel, close to the village of Denekamp. The estate features many remarkable listed buildings, including the stately Singraven House, the Coach House behind it and the centuries-old watermill with its three wheels. Singraven offers a varied landscape of woods, avenues, fields, meadows, marshes and the ever-present River Dinkel. Weldam, situated in the beautiful wooded surroundings of south-west Twente in the municipality of Hof van Twente, is one of the larger estates in the eastern Netherlands.
