Delden Castle is a beautiful estate where you can go for walks and bike rides. The gardens are also open from April to November.
Twickel Castle is situated near the small town of Delden in Twente, set amidst a magnificent 4,000-hectare estate.
The varied landscape consists of gently rolling fields and meadows, woods and ancient oaks, heathland and ponds. Streams and hedgerows wind their way through it all.
The estate is home to around 150 farmhouses, recognisable by their black-and-white shutters, and other buildings such as two water mills, the water tower and the sawmill.
Culture and nature coexist harmoniously at Twickel.
The Twickel Foundation enables everyone to enjoy nature and culture. Virtually the entire Twickel estate is open to walkers via its roads and paths. Cyclists and horse riders are welcome on the signposted paths.
