Unique country estates

Twente, a region where life is green. Combined with its authentic cultural heritage, this makes for the ideal setting for a wonderful stay and an enriching experience.

Twickel Estate
Near the town of Delden in Twente lies Twickel Castle, set amidst a magnificent 4,000-hectare estate. The varied landscape consists of gently rolling fields and meadows, woods and ancient oaks, heathland and ponds. Streams and hedgerows wind their way through it all.
The estate is home to around 150 farmhouses, recognisable by their black-and-white shutters, and other buildings such as two water mills, the water tower and the sawmill.

Singraven Estate
Singraven Estate is beautifully situated along the River Dinkel, close to the village of Denekamp. The estate is home to many remarkable listed buildings, including the stately Singraven House, the Coach House behind it, and the centuries-old watermill with its three wheels. Singraven offers a varied landscape featuring woods, avenues, fields, meadows, marshes and the ever-present River Dinkel. As a result, the estate has a surprising amount to offer: fascinating cultural history, tranquil and interesting natural surroundings, active leisure opportunities such as cycling or walking tours, and much more besides.

Diepenheim Estate
Warmelo Estate is situated in Diepenheim, in the municipality of ‘Hof van Twente’. Warmelo dates back to 1339. The castle is set within a park covering a total area of 7 hectares. A signposted walking route takes you on a journey through four centuries of garden architecture: a 16th- and 17th-century French-style garden featuring, amongst other things, a Rococo pond, sculptures, a rose garden and a bird garden; an English-style pine grove laid out in the 18th century, a birch avenue, a star-shaped woodland and a series of ponds. ‘Warmelo’ boasts a wide variety of azaleas, large rhododendrons, exotic plants and many container plants. There is a tea room in the coach house.
